Jennifer Coleman grew up in Lubbock and currently resides in Pflugerville, just north of Austin, She is a member of the Austin chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writer and Illustrators and is also the author of Chili Time Y’all! How Texas got its State Cuisine (Fall '22) , for Come 'N Git It: Cookie & his Cowboy Chuckwagon (Fall '21, received Spur Award Finalist from Western Writers of America ), The Texas Nutcracker (Fall '18) and Ready Set Motivate! ('04) . A Texas-certified teacher, her day job is as a certified elementary school librarian where she has been encouraging the love of literacy in children for over 25 years.
