Nancy writes biographies and histories for children and young adults. She is a three-time Spur Award winner. Among her other writing awards are the Nebraska Book Award, the Will Rogers Gold Medallion, First Place in Youth Nonfiction from the National Federation of Press Women, and the Carter G. Woodson Honor Award.
